Defending the people's vote on marriage
On Nov. 18, 2008, the California Supreme Court denied the motion of Campaign for California Families, represented by Liberty Counsel, to represent the voters' interests against those trying to subvert Prop. 8. Californians pass Prop. 8 defining marriage
On Nov. 4, 2008, 52.3% of California voters approved Proposition 8, an amendment to the California Constitution, reading, "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."
